Senior Backend Software Engineer, Data Sync

HubSpot's engineering team is growing in Ghent. We are building , the foundation of HubSpot’s Operations Hub product. By connecting HubSpot to many business apps with a powerful two-way data sync, we unite all customer data in one integrated CRM platform.

We're searching for Senior Software Engineers that want to grow their career in a fast paced, low bureaucracy environment. In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Work on the platform technology that underpins data sync and scales it to thousands of customers.
  • Build tooling that allows other teams to troubleshoot our complex sync platform in an easy-to-use, efficient and effective way.
  • Work on tools that make it easier for developers to manage the entire lifecycle of launching and maintaining sync integrations.
  • Improve our internal systems that detect anomalies in integrations and notify the right teams.
  • Work with different teams to collaborate on what the future of this toolset looks like.

    • We’re looking for people who:

  • Like the idea of working on a of 3-5 engineers.
  • Have shown that they can build creative solutions for complicated technical problems while analyzing tradeoffs with empathy.
  • Communicate well and constructively in strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Enjoy collaborating with different teams to continuously understand their needs.
  • Take ownership and work independently where needed.
  • Dive into concepts they may be unfamiliar with.
  • Know what a simple but effective (user) interface looks like.
  • Are passionate, pragmatic and resourceful problem-solvers who thrive on delivering exceptional experiences solving customer’s actual problems.
  • Would love to write distributed services and/or data-intensive applications primarily using , but also leveraging technologies like Kafka, Vitess (MySQL), HBase, Elasticsearch, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers
