Junior Business Analyst DEME Concessions

Over the past decades, DEME has constructed over 70 offshore wind projects with over 20GW capacity and has been involved in the most iconic dredging and land reclamation projects, such as the Panama Canal, Suez Canal, the Pearl in Qatar and the Tuas Terminal One port expansion project in Singapore.

We're looking for someone who'll strengthen the DEME Concessions corporate development team for Offshore Wind, reporting to the General Manager. The Business Analyst will be based at the Head office of the DEME Group, and be directly involved with multidisciplinary project development teams. The Business Analyst must have a desire to work in international teams and have attention to detail. The Business Analyst will be expected to be flexible in terms of location of projects and will need to travel frequently on a fly-in/ fly-out basis.

  • Market analysis and screening of new business opportunities for DEME Concessions in the ports and maritime sector, offshore wind, green hydrogen and other related sectors.

  • Financial structuring, in particular building and maintaining financial models.

  • Due diligence coordination and review, including selection of advisors.

  • Analysis of investments at the DEME Group level, from a risk and return on equity perspective, including the preparation of internal approval processes.

  • Assisting in the coordination of the full deal process.

  • University degree in a technical/scientific field, complemented with a graduate business/finance degree, or relevant experience in finance; or a university degree major in business/finance, with affinity for engineering.

  • A prior experience of a few years in infrastructure equity, investment banking, project finance or financial/strategic consulting would be appreciated.

  • Excellent in business English. Dutch or any other language is an asset.

  • Affinity with the offshore industry.

  • Analytical skills, rigor, creativity with regards to elaborating and providing solutions.

  • Curiosity and intellectual mobility, willingness to learn and open mindset.

  • Willingness to travel with respect and understanding for different cultures.

  • Ability to work together as a team.

  • Availability, mobility as well as responsiveness.
