Since the creation of INEOS in 1998, the company has grown into one of the largest independent Chemical companies in the world. It counts 73 plants worldwide and approximately 16,000 employees.
INEOS is a privately held company, it comprises 15 divisions, that have grown through acquisitions and investments out of a major chemical company heritage. 10% of the company is in owned by the employers.

They enriched INEOS coming from companies such as BP, Dow, Degussa, ICI, Enichem, Unilever, Solvay, BASF and Hoechst.
