Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary: As a Supply Chain Specialist, you are an integral component of our organization, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our day-to-day supply chain activities. You will serve as the vital link between our Belgian organization and Swedish logistics, optimizing processes to ensure the timely delivery of goods to our customers, branches, and partners. This role includes inventory management, forecasting, process improvements, and supply chain project management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance to sales branches and HQ personnel on order-related issues.
  • Serving as the contact point between Swedish logistics and our Belgian organization.
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers to optimize logistics flow.
  • Managing stock and analyzing stock consumption, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Leading the forecasting process to ensure material availability.
  • Hosting regular meetings with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to provide updates and define actions.
  • Identifying and driving solutions for process improvements and bottlenecks.
  • Leading local supply chain projects in cooperation with Verisure Logistics AB and other local stakeholders.
  • Performing inventory checks in our sales branches or HQ.
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a supply chain manager or specialist.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus, familiarity with Navision is desirable.
  • Fluent in Flemish or French, with good English proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, with attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and sense of urgency.
  • Good negotiation skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Capability to work with colleagues at all levels (from DirCo to frontline), building trust.
  • Creative thinking in problem-solving.
  • Capability to work independently, fill in blanks, and achieve end goals and milestones.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • You are in charge of all supply chain-related tasks, ensuring that our customers, branches, and partners receive their goods on time.
  • You will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain process and leading local supply chain projects.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers and various departments to optimize processes, minimize logistical issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Ability to lead local Supply Chain Projects.
  • Manage stock, conducting regular inventory checks and analyses, and propose strategies for improvement.
  • The needed skills are:

    1.Supply Chain Management Expertise : Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory management, forecasting, and logistics. Prior experience in a similar role is necessary.
    2.Analytical and Strategic Thinking : Exceptional analytical abilities to understand complex supply chain systems, identify bottlenecks, and devise effective strategies for improvement.
    3.Software Proficiency : Familiarity with Oracle and/or Navision. Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel is also crucial.
    4.Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills in Flemish, French, and English, with the ability to clearly express ideas and convey information to various stakeholders, from frontline employees to upper management.
