Job Purpose and Impact
The Smart Manufacturing Senior Engineer in Food Processing and Packaging will participate on establishing the strategy for liquid and dry Packaging on the Digitalization & Analytics space and ensures alignment across all Enterprises. You will create, develop, advise, consult, provide Processes and Technology Solutions. You will give broad oversight and governance for the standards that enables smooth excecution of the GFPP (Global Food Processing and Packaging) Smart Manufacturing strategy. You will help to enhance value identification, value realization and risk mitigation across Businesses. You will also help to build, incubate, and implement Digitalization & Analytics capabilities and will interact with Leaders cross Enterprises, Groups, Businesses, functions as well as GFPP sub domain Leaders/Experts, Global IT/OT, Data Functions, Corporate Smart Manufacturing, Procurement and Data Science / Engineers
You will also participate on building solid Digital Foundations for Packaging:
Define the future state of Operational Intelligence for Cargill Packaging whereby applying Artificial intelligence on individual packaging machines and lines, leading to automatic parameter setting and adjustments.
Develop strategies and tactics for execution. Benchmark with external organizations to bring an outside-in perspective and to keep pace with technology trends and Sustainability requirements, in collaboration with Global IT.
Define, develop, and deploy standards and tools for Digital Enabler applications:
Statistical Process Control
Digital printing on the Line
Track and Trace application (QR codes, RFIDs, other etc…) and full traceability towards the customer
My PPM Program Follow up for GFPP Smart Manufacturing Portfolio
Supply Chain Partnership
Collaborate with Manufacturing Technology on Standard identification (Safety and Automation)
Collaborate with IT/OT on Packaging standard on remote access, IT architecture and infrastructure
Key Accountabilities
Lead and Guide pilots on New Processes and Technology solutions (Digital Enablers)
Shape and drive the strategy to automate and digitize Packaging Lines
Align on Packaging priorities, define common capabilities, and deploy best practices
Develop and support the execution of the strategy for liquid and dry Packaging on the Digitalization & Analytics space and ensures alignment across all Enterprises
Identify and lead the portfolio of opportunities to execute, deliver and add value for the business utilizing the appropriate continuous improvement tools, statistical process control and smart manufacturing to garner maximum value.
Coordinate and lead projects in a variety of areas including Intelligent Supply Chain and Intelligent Packaging Material.
Build and expand continuous improvement capabilities across the business through collaborations with business operations leadership and plant and local leaders.
Manages and implements strategic initiatives that drive Operational Intelligence efforts in Packaging globally. Partners with IT/OT functions in support of OI implementation efforts across all Enterprises, Groups and Businesses.
Executes actions to ensure alignment of people, processes, and technologies that drive Operational Intelligence across Packaging, including all Enterprises, Groups and Businesses.
Supports Enterprise and Group functional leaders to achieve targets and goals associated with Operational Intelligence initiatives.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and use additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Experience leading the coordination and implementation of process improvements, balancing multiple priorities to achieve results
Experience performing analytical problem solving applying structured and principled methodology to identify root causes
Minimum of six years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Project or process management methodology skills
Project and Portfolio Management skills
Experience working in a multi-site environment
Good understanding of packaging lines
Ability to travel frequently at a global level
