Project Manager - Research Operations

We are hiring an experienced Research Project Manager to join our Research Operations and Change Management team in Governance Research. This is an exciting, creative, team-oriented operations opportunity for those looking to advance their career by leading Governance Research production activities. This position leads the planning and implementation of multiple concurrent business and software programs and participates in the design and testing phases. The Research Project Manager handles significant research projects and focuses on meeting project commitments, including communication with sponsors (ISS Research leaders) and partners (data teams, research analysts, other departments). You'll lead and assist in the planning, implementation, and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies. While this is predominantly an office-based role, unusual work hours away from the office may be necessary as our internal customers are based in the UK, Continental Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

What You'll Do:

  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements
  • Resolve or aid in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
  • Handle customer issues, project/scope/requirement changes, and logs to ensure adequate attention to impediments with potential impact to time/quality/resources
  • Develop methods to monitor project or area progress and provide corrective supervision as needed
  • Assemble project staff for their technical or functional development, performance, and/or termination during project(s)
  • Lead project resource allocation
  • Work cross-functionally to tackle problems and implement changes
  • Follow a defined, mutually agreed upon project management methodology
  • Present reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to management

    • What We Need from You:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7 years' experience as a project manager, preferably in application development and financial service
  • PMP certification
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) and knowledge of Microsoft Visio and data visualization tools strongly preferred
  • Decision Making:Understand when to raise issues to higher levels and take timely independent action in pursuit of prioritiesAnalyze the risks and future impact of decisions
