We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated .NET Software Engineer to join our European Institutions team in Brussels . As part of this, you will be involved in building and operating solutions in the area of language technologies, with a focus on speech recognition and speech-to-text applications. This project aims to develop open-source components for live transcriptions of audio content, enabling improved accessibility of meetings and conferences, as well as enhancing search capabilities in audio and video content on the clients websites.

Responsibilities:

Develop open-source components for an automatic speech recognition application, specifically focused on live transcription.

Integrate the developed components into internal applications and ensure their seamless functioning.

Implement and maintain . NET solutions for the organization, including writing tests, resolving issues, and producing technical documentation.

Utilize C# and the versions of the Microsoft .NET framework to ensure reliable and efficient software development.

Build services using REST , web sockets, and message brokers for smooth communication between components.

Create C# libraries, ASP.NET web APIs , and micro-services to enable seamless deployment and scalability of the solutions.

Employ modern development methods, such as version control with Git and test-driven development, to ensure high-quality and robust code.

Adapt and keep pace with fast-changing technologies in the field of speech recognition and language technologies.

Produce clear and structured technical documents to aid in the understanding and maintenance of the developed solutions.

Participate actively in technical meetings, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Utilize Oracle and SQL knowledge to design and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.

Requirements:

Master's degree in IT and minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Proven professional experience in software engineering using C# and the latest versions of the Microsoft .NET framework .

Hands-on experience in developing services with REST, web sockets, and message brokers.

Proficiency in developing C# libraries, ASP.NET web APIs, and micro-services .

Familiarity with modern development methods, such as version control with Git and test-driven development.

Strong adaptability to fast-changing technologies and the ability to keep up with the latest advancements in the field.

Demonstrable capability in writing clear and structured technical documents.

Effective communication skills and the ability to actively participate in technical meetings.

Knowledge of Oracle and SQL for database design, querying, and management.

Proficiency in English (C1) and French (B2) will be advantageous.
