MRS - Embedded Software Engineer
We are looking for experienced Embedded Software Testing Engineer to join our great engineering team in Sint-Truiden, Belgium.
The Embedded Software Testing Engineer works with the Algorithm Development Engineers to assist the development of control algorithms for Tenneco Monroe Ride Solutions products (eg CVSA, Kinetic) by providing the MIL and SIL testing environment for both the Simulink Model and the code. He/she cooperates in the development of Tennecos control algorithms and ensures these get tested according to their requirements. He/she creates relevant test vectors to cover the requirements, runs the test and interprets the result. Although the Embedded Software Testing Engineer is mainly working on software he/she has a good understanding of automotive electrical and electronic hardware and digital device control in general.
What will you do?
Use all applicable Tenneco engineering tools (SAP, Polarion, Dataccess, C1-nsight, TePM, CAE Tools, ).
Follow the defined Tenneco processes for NTI (new technology introduction) and TENPlus (production) projects.
Take part in technical discussion with the customer or their ECU manufacturer/system integrator about all aspects of the software integration and testing.
Be part of a multi-functional SCRUM team and lives to the agile manifesto.
Act for most of the projects as an individual contributor or as a team member in the mechatronics team.
In this role you will:
Ensure compliance with program management requirements, quality requirements and all applicable EHS standards/regulations.
Integrate customer-specific technical specifications into product/ process system designs.
Identify potential product liability issues and take appropriate action.
Analyse/evaluate conformance to standards of product/process/ system designs and make recommendations for corrective actions. Identify opportunities for product and process improvements, standardization efforts or cost reduction.
Support development of new suppliers and validate their products.
What will make you successful?
Master in mechatronics, electronics engineering or information technology with strong affinity to automotive technology
Relevant technical experience in the automotive industry
Solid understanding and basic working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and Embedded Coder (or other code generators)
Software testing (MIL, SIL, HIL)
Knowledge of standards and processes used in the development of automotive electronics and software (ASPICE, ISO 26262, cyber-security, )
Experience with integrating applications with in-vehicle networking protocols
Fluent in English
Willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis to visit customers and/or suppliers abroad
