Service Market Logistics is one of our well-respected departments at Volvo Group. It is with great pride that we look upon our Ghent distribution center, being the biggest DC of the Volvo Group worldwide. It holds spare parts for multiple brands of the Volvo Group, for example Volvo Trucks, Construction Equipment, Volvo Busses, and the marine- and industrial engines. You are part of the Warehouse Engineering team that is included in the Operational Support structure.

Do you just love to ...

You contribute to the continuous improvement of the safety, quality, lead time, cost efficiency, and environmental impact of our warehouse operations

You make sure that the flows of material are in synch with the info flows, from the moment they arrive from our supplier until they are sent to our customers

You design logistics process flows based on the needs of the organization

Based on your logistics engineering expertise, you actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities, kaizen workshops and Focus Improvement activities

You analyze data to maximize the density of the warehouse zones for optimal productivity and quality of the operations

You coordinate the necessary improvement actions

You support the operations in the implementation of the dynamic norm model (time studies, work method analysis) and play an important role in the data management

Are you the one?

Experience in optimization of logistic flows is key

Holistic end to end view on packaging issues

Team player, cross-functional work and able to define priorities

Masters Degree in engineering is a plus, else equal with proven and relevant experience

Fluently in English, and preferably in Dutch
