    In order to make this digital strategy happen, we have updated our organization and operating model: an organizational unit called ADS (Advanced Digital Solutions) was created to be able to realize our digital/IT ambitions.

    Within the team Strategy and Governance, we are owning our IT Strategy and we are accountable to cultivate transformational capabilities and governance throughout the IT organization, manage IT as a Business and drive ADS Leadership decision making by providing a pro-active view on portfolio, performance, compliance/risks and processes.

    About the role

    Your Impact as IT Strategy and Governance (Epic) Leader:

    As an Epic Leader you are accountable for the establishment of those capabilities and practices that enable/accelerate Digital Transformation. It is about running IT effectively and efficiently as a business through a pragmatic IT governance and management framework. This includes managing the IT governance and management framework and the IT4IT portfolio. You execute on this portfolio by leading and driving end-to-end the delivery of IT4IT epics that have a global scope and transversal impact across the IT teams and other business stakeholders. The Epic Leader also remains responsible for the created output and continued performance. 

    The Epic Leader has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the IT organization and in ensuring the maturity of processes, procedures and working practices is growing and tracking.

    This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the IT Strategy & Governance Team, including working with IT leadership team, Product Management, customers, business owners and business senior management. 

    As you have a big exposure in the organization, we have the ambition to let this role grow towards the Global IT Lead of IT Strategy and Governance.

     Your main responsibilities as IT Strategy and Governance (Epic) Leader:

  • Managing the IT Strategy and Governance Framework Determine the requirements of the framework by evaluating industrial standards (COBIT, ITIL, ISO etc.) Defining the goals and objectives of the framework together with IT and business stakeholders by identifying any gaps between the desired and current maturity level and translate this in an improvement track Ensuring the application of the defined practices and adherence to specified policies and controls together with owners and stakeholders, including identifying and resolving non-compliance issues Establishing clear communication channels and learnings Driving change management activities in the organization to ensure adoption
  • Strategising and managing epics in the IT4IT portfolio outlined in a roadmap, in close cooperation with the IT leadership team
  • Leading multiple transformational initiatives
    as outlined in the roadmap, by implementing those end-to end with a strong governance according to the SAFE principals, managing both internal and external stakeholders and most importantly delivering the desired outcomes. This includes shaping the way of working in an agile way according to the SAFE methodology for these initiatives, called Epics, from preparation to moving to operations. 
  • Continuous Improvement
    To ensure continuous improvement and quality performance on these epics and related practices and processes, the EL is also in charge off setting up and managing a framework to keep this all under control.

  • Excellent knowledge on IT Strategy & Governance frameworks and best practices 
  • Experience in service management 
  • Proven track of effective coaching skills 
  • Experience in performing effective business analysis and user journey mapping 
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Experienced in leading transformational projects end-to-end 
  • Continuously exploring and scanning market trends for new and innovative ideas
