IT Business Analyst - SAP BW

Carrefour Belgium is looking forward to hiring an IT Business Analyst with relevant experience in SAP BW . Previous experience in retail, logistics, production or industry would be a big plus.

As an IT Business Analyst BW, you’ll play a key role in the information management of Carrefour, since data and analytics are crucial matters for our company’s results.

This function reports to the IT Team Manager BW.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Act as a high-level expert for BW/BI SAP Modules .
  • Act as a bridge between business and IT, responsible for requirement analysis and solution definition of dashboarding and reporting solutions using SAP & SAP BW .
  • Requirements gathering from stakeholders, for analysis, and for documentation into business requirements documents.
  • Assist the business in translation of their reporting requirements into functional designs, in order to extend or to adapt the actual reporting models.
  • Develop the functional and technical design, the prototype and the reporting system. Lead workshops to gather user feedback on proposed prototypes.
  • GAP analysis and estimation of the build efforts for new implementations.
  • Interaction with development and quality assurance teams, to make sure testing programs and reports are well aligned with functional specifications.
  • Actively work on and contribute to the knowledge management strategy and BA related best practices.
  • Support or lead problem management process follow up and root cause analysis.
  • Close and transversal collaboration with other colleagues at Carrefour.

    • Your Profile

  • You hold a relevant degree in economics or science, with the option of IT.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in SAP.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the configuration of the SAP BW modules. Knowledge of S4 Retail and Finance is a plus.
  • S/4 HANA Retail for Merchandise Management, S/4 HANA Finance, SAP Fiori cloud and SAP Mobile In Store Management Solutions are tools that are used by Carrefour, so previous experience with these software solutions is an asset.
  • Knowledge of BI Reporting tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud or Qlik is a plus.
  • Understanding of best practices, trends and technologies within the area of data, Big Data and Reporting.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and you’re able to prioritize.
  • You are customer oriented, with excellent communication skills, capable to defend your ideas, but open to listen to others as well.
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English or in French and English.
  • You’re flexible to deal with (occasional) incidents outside of office hours.
  • You’re eager to learn and you have a huge appetite for innovative technologies and changing trends in the market.
  • You have a positive and accountable mindset.
