  • Build-up and Lead the entire EPN technical procurement team in a matrix organization, motivate and develop the team-members to ensure long-term succession strength as well as teamwork, based on the Freudenberg Values and Guiding Principles and the Guidelines of Leadership & Teamwork
  • Develop and maintain guidelines, systems, quality standards and procedures for the proper functioning of procurement processes, by providing leadership in accordance with the organization's guidelines and standards, in order to implement the group procurement policies
  • Ensure adherence to those guidelines, systems, quality standards, procedures and budget to achieve the objectives
  • Lead negotiations on procurement that is important to the organization so that a cost-effective purchasing policy can be implemented
  • Coordinate and organize the different activities of the team according to the priorities and skills of each and the needs of the internal or external customers in order to offer an effective and efficient service meeting the quality requirements of the organization within the given deadlines
  • Represent a strong Procurement function in cross-functional collaboration
  • Examine, propose and take responsibility for the implementation of method improvements and business opportunity monitoring, in order to constantly increase the profitability of the purchasing process
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the field of purchasing to enhance its credibility through a service that is constantly based on up-to-date knowledge
  • Act as P2P process owner by further roll-out of clear P2P processes and responsibility split
  • Also act as lead in dedicated areas for the region and or group
  • The position can be located in Belgium or in Germany
  • Qualificationsarrow_right

  • Technical degree (Bachelor & Master)
  • Several years in Procurement, preferably in indirect spend management (maintenance, services, capex, HR)
  • Organizational development of Procurement function incl. change management
  • Team leadership and working in a matrix organization
  • Negotiations experience
  • IT affinity
  • Fluent in English
