PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • An EEPV engineer will support a vehicle platform to verify a system is implemented according to the specifications and performant to a level which satisfies customer expectations. 
  • You will need to create system level tests and be able to execute these tests on a bench, HIL or vehicle as required before the software is sent to the test fleet or production. 
  • You will be required to perform tuning when a system implementation is not performing to the expected level. 
  • You will be required to execute test plans and delivery high quality reporting of the results in the appropriate software lifecycle tracking systems.
  • You will be required to troubleshoot the electric and hydraulic parts of each system to identify if new issues are hardware or software related to support cross functional teams with system improvements/redesign. 
  • You will be required to support product validation equipping the test fleet or vehicle with all necessary data logging equipment while the fleet/vehicle is undergoing acceptance testing onsite or in the field. 
  • You will be required to give input to peer groups (VE) on severity (potential customer impact) of new issues to support planning for issue resolution. 

    • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Project/platform responsible for software tuning and validation globally:

  • Commissioning of new or updated systems prior to handoff to product validation for acceptance testing or to production. 
  • Key decision maker for VE (TPM, PSE) and Validation specialist on the robustness/fitness for use of the current system implementation. 
  • Key contributor in global SWAT teams to address high severity customer concerns.
  • Peers include; All global chief engineers, global platform managers and Validation specialists.

    • Responsible for the system test planning and execution of the project:

  • Ensure as much as possible customer use cases are captured in the system tests.
  • Direct the platform validation specialist on validation requirements to support testing. (Conditions required, vehicle configurations)
  • Direct System engineering team during the system specification review process.
  • Direct software team on in-field tuning requirements.

    • QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or equal by experience.
  • Experience with network analysis tooling (Vector CANalyzer, CANape, ETAS INCA).
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems including reading of electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of industry standard communication protocols. CAN, CCS, LIN, XCP, etc.
  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition techniques and hardware such Vector GL or HBM QuantumX for example is desirable.
  • Capable of travelling to worldwide test locations for short to medium term periods (2-3 weeks)
  • A background within agriculture, construction or heavy goods vehicles is desirable.
  • Languages: English is essential. A willingness to learn the basics of other foreign languages is desirable.
