Flexcity, a VEOLIA subsidiary, works in the energy sector on Demand Side Management (DSM) as an aggregator. Active in Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Italy (and expanding), it offers energy services to flexible assets operators by leveraging its deep understanding of the market to analyze and modulate their consumption in order to optimize costs/revenues while participating in the ongoing energy transition.
Flexcity manages a pool of automated assets that allow to modulate consumption/production in order to support distribution grid stability.
Over the recent years, Flexcity has been a pioneer in new markets such as the automatic frequency reserve (aFRR). The technology team successfully introduced new technologies (batteries) and new devices (PLC’s) to the Flexcity portfolio, now covering a wide range of asset types, from Diesel engines to windpower.
Flexcity is looking for DevOps Engineer
Job Description
The operations and DevOps engineer will reinforce the technology team (15 people) and be in charge of improving the operational support infrastructure for internal as well as external customers. The main goal of the mission is to improve and document the tooling of the technology team with a focus on the Quality of Service.
The goal is to streamline the integration of different micro services through configuration wherever possible and development when needed. New procedures and reworking existing flows is also an important part of the job.
Description of the responsibilities:
Qualifications
Master in engineering or science ideally with an IT or energy background.
Fluent in English and French. Dutch is a plus.
