Lead Business Analyst – Life Insurance
The ‘Insurance’ division manages Life Insurance products and services for companies and individuals, from product development to marketing, maintenance and technical follow-up. Within this division, the ‘Business Change& Monitoring’ Department coordinates principally business projects with an IT impact, linked to product developments, legislative changes or new insurance solutions, or aimed at operational improvement.

Your responsibilities
As Lead Business Analyst you are responsible for coordinating and managing business analyses for projects aimed essentially at improving insurance portfolio growth, optimising management processes for life insurance products and supporting the migration of the life insurance portfolio (Universal life and traditional) to our systems.
Your responsibilities therefore include:
Following up and ensuring the delivery and quality of business analyses, in one or more fields, realised by team members: :
Coordinating analyses made by a group of analysts (internal or external).
Maintaining and checking the performance of Business Analysts.
Challenging analysis content.
Ensuring the quality of business analyses delivered by the team when measured against established standards.
Defining and following up the business analysis process by analysts.
Implementing a detailed reporting of analysis monitoring and bringing content and resources decisions to the attention of management
Carrying out business analyses by helping end-users to define their needs regarding all fields relating to life insurance:
Analysing the systems in place and evaluating the impact of various projects on these systems and on processes.
Documenting changes clearly and exhaustively through business requirements according to the company’s standards.
Cooperating effectively with a range of collaborators (IT, Operations, Business, Distribution, etc.) and developing a relationship of trust with our internal customers and suppliers.
Ensuring project follow-up, coordinating the actors, communicating regularly on project progress and ensuring that developments meet identified needs.
Having end-users accept the quality of the solution through UAT and change support:
Preparing and implementing the various tests (processes and calculations) to ensure the quality and dependability of developments.
Following up identified bugs until they are totally resolved.
Supporting change by drawing up communication and training material and informing and instructing end-users.
Managing project aftercare through to management by IT teams.
Ensuring the team retains and shares knowledge, a.o. by updating the documentation library.
Maintaining and optimising BAU activities within the team.
Your profile
You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, IT or economic sciences, or equivalent experience
You have initial experience of 5 years in a similar position, ideally in the life insurance or bank investment products sectors. A good knowledge of the various life insurance products is essential.
You are a French- or Dutch-speaker with a good command of the other national language and can work in English and French.
You have an excellent command of MS Office and good knowledge of BPMN. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
You communicate easily with all types of interlocutor, both orally and in writing, and have experience of change management.
You have an analytical mind and are very good with figures (ability to understand actuarial calculations).
You are client and solutions focused.
You are meticulous, organised and aim to achieve results.
You can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
