Cloud Engineer / Architect - AZURE

Terms of the mission:

As part of its activities, SopraSteria is looking for a Cloud Engineer (preferably permanent position).

The first assignment is afull-time mission of an estimated duration of one year minimum and to start assoon as possible. Our client is one of the biggest Energy Operator in Belgium.

Context of the assignment:

Since 2015, our client has setup, within the Microsoft AZURE Cloud, services to meet differentiation andinnovation needs. Over the past 2 years, the use of PaaS services strengthenedin order to set up a DATA platform and an integration platform on which thefuture bricks of our client transformation plan will be based. IaaS servicesare being implemented since Q3/2022.

Within the Infrastructures andOperations service of the IT department, the AZURE team is responsible formanaging all the elements linked to PaaS and IaaS type services used by ourclient.

It participates in ongoingprojects in order, based on the needs expressed, to analyze, define andimplement technical architectures in the AZURE cloud. She also provides 3rdline support.

Main tasks:

  • Develop the Cloud technicalarchitecture and its principles in accordance with the functional andnon-functional needs and in collaboration with our client project andarchitecture teams
  • Propose solutions that bestmeet the needs expressed by the representatives of our client stakeholders,respecting the principles and standards issued by the IT department andintegrating into the existing landscape
  • Supervise the projects in theimplementation of the selected solutions by ensuring the understanding andrespect of the architecture requirements (contribution to the framing of theprojects, integration, evolution, etc.)
  • Automate and document thesolution implemented in accordance with existing standards
  • Define/Complete a serviceportfolio

    • Required profile:

  • Proven experience as an Azure cloud engineer of at least 3 years (Must)
  • Good knowledge of governance tools and principles (Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, Subscriptions, Management Groups, etc) (Must)
  • Proven experience in analysis, design and implementation of architectures on various themes combining IaaS / PaaS / SaaS concepts (Must)
  • Good knowledge of the following resources: App Service, Application Gateway, Azure SQL Server/Database, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure DataLake / Factory… (Must)
  • Understanding of the "Hub&Spoke" model and ability to implement "networking" resources (Virtual Networks, Routing Tables, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups) (Must)
  • Good knowledge of DNS principles (Must)
  • Good knowledge of Azure Active Directory Domain Services resource (Must)
  • Infrastructure as Code: good knowledge in editing and producing artifacts (Azure Resource Manager, Terraform) and scripts (Azure CLI, Azure Powershell) (Should)
  • Azure DevOps (Should):Good knowledge and operational mastery of continuous integration and delivery concepts (Azure Pipelines)Good knowledge of Git repositories and source code management processes/methods
  • Excellent level of French (read, written, spoken) (Must)
  • Practical experience (hands-on) will be required to provide the necessary support to the OPS teams.
  • Autonomous.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Very good ability to communicate.
