Senior Cloud Architect (AWS)

### Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Senior Cloud Architects to support the design, implementation, security, and operation of a large-scale hybrid cloud environment. You will work alongside internal infrastructure and service delivery teams to establish a secure, scalable, and compliant AWS cloud foundation while promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud best practices.

### Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement a secure and scalable AWS landing zone.
* Define and manage AWS organizational structures using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation).
* Implement and manage Service Control Policies (SCPs).
* Configure AWS Identity Center and integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) with external identity providers.
* Ensure compliance with security and governance frameworks, including NIS2 and ISO 27001.
* Define and enforce data classification, encryption, and security policies.
* Design and implement logging, monitoring, archiving, and backup strategies.
* Establish secure connectivity between AWS environments and on-premises data centers.
* Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
* Develop reusable Terraform templates and cloud "golden paths."
* Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

### Required Skills \& Experience

* Expert-level experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
* Strong expertise in:

* Terraform

* AWS CloudFormation / CDK

* Cloud Security

* GitLab

* Kubernetes

* Java

* Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Experience designing and operating hybrid cloud environments.
* Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
* Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and platform engineering.

### Certifications

One or more of the following AWS certifications is highly desirable:

* AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect
* AWS Certified Developer
* AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
* AWS Certified Security Specialty
* AWS Authorized Instructor
* AWS Hero

### Languages

* Dutch or French: Working proficiency
* English: Working proficiency
