New opportunity based in the Benelux for a Field Service Engineer to install and provide support for high technology equipment in research labs of pharmaceutical companies, universities, and government research labs. Will work with highly complex equipment (example: Bruker NMR – Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometers) which requires an advanced understanding of electronics and optical alignment. This position will report to our Leiderdorp office in the Netherlands or Kontich office in Belgium when not in the field at customer sites.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten

  • NMR and MRI service and support for our customers
  • NMR spectrometer and MRI system installation at customer site
  • Customer training at site, in-factory, and online
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting of NMR spectrometer and MRI system
  • Provide support to sales, application and service
  • Frequent travel within Benelux is required, occasionally other destinations
  • Qualifikationen

  • Qualifications

  • A BSc. in electrical or electronic engineering, or a related discipline, or be able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge and skill gained by practical experience in analytical instrumentation world
  • Special acquired knowledge in the techniques NMR or MRI will be an advantage
  • Knowledge in cryogenics, pneumatics, RF, and computer networks will be very welcome
  • A valid driving licence is required
  • No visa restriction preventing from travel in the EU
  • Willing to travel for 80% of the time
  • Skills and Experience

  • Capacity to take responsibility for the complete installation and commissioning of sophisticated instrumentation and to instruct users in its basic operation
  • Ability to diagnose causes of malfunction and to actively resolve customers’ service problems
  • Good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems, Linux knowledge will be a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good spoken and written English
  • other European languages (Dutch and French) will be a plus
