The chosen candidate will be a part of the Strategy, Innovation, Business Development, and CSR department, responsible for providing strategic direction, fostering innovation, developing businesses, and steering transformation and sustainability performance.

The Junior Business Development role entails the responsibility of cultivating new activities across various domains, including flexibility, batteries, B2B and B2G decarbonization offers, e-mobility, and public charging, as well as home energy solutions.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to address one of today's most pressing societal issues, providing significant autonomy and the potential to become the lead and primary contact person for projects and businesses as they mature.

Responsibilities

Business Development:

• Provide support to business units in implementing developments closely aligned with their core objectives.
• Take the lead on selected business ideas and integrate new technologies.
• Develop comprehensive business plans and models for new projects and potential business lines.
• Conduct market research to understand client needs and offer innovative solutions.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on new business solutions and projects.

Transformation Tasks:

• Evaluate business potential, assessing both technical and economic feasibility for Luminus initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and coordinate the organization of new developments, outlining specific mandates.
• Seek innovative financing solutions from private and public entities.
• Validate assumptions through Proof-of-Concepts and pilot projects.
• Continuously develop expertise in relevant topics and remain vigilant for potential projects, technologies, or business lines.

Additionally, travel within Belgium will be necessary to visit other sites, affiliates, and attend public events.

• Possess knowledge in sales management, marketing, strategic management, and business planning.

Ideal candidate

• A commercial/industrial/civil Engineering or equivalent Master's studies.
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful proposals.
• Know-how of the energy sector is a plus.
• Fluency in at least two languages, either French/English or Dutch/English. Ideally, fluent in all three languages FR/NL/EN.
