Senior Software Developer
About the Role
We are looking for a lead senior experienced full-stack engineer who excels at creating an exceptional user experience to join our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) tribe at Swift.
Based in Belgium, you will be working alongside a dynamic team who are fully responsible for end to end delivery – from customer engagement to operations.

What to expect
You will be a technical authority for your peers and will be able to lead more junior profiles into a successful path
You will design, develop, test (including automated integration and regression) and integrate new features, components and improvements to compliance products
You will use a range of proven technologies, (Java/Javascript on Linux environment) with lots of room of experimentation (for example, container orchestration, CI/CD tooling, distributed architectures like Kafka and Cassandra) to drive true value to our customers
You will have the opportunity to be or develop yourself and others in true full-stack engineers covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects
You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across 3 continents

Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Technical skills
Senior-level full-stack engineer with over five years of experience
Expertise with Java 8 Programming language and frameworks (e.g. Spring, JEE)
Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB) including data modelling
Knowledge of Linux OS
Knowledge of large-scale distributed infrastructure (e.g. Spark, Kafka)
Knowledge of continuous delivery process and technologies (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Ansible)
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Ember)
