As System Verification Engineer you will take a leading role in planning and executing verification tests during the development of new and existing dialysis equipment. This will involve developing test plans & procedures based on product and user requirement specifications and performing tests accordingly. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of new and updated products and be an integral part of our product ideation process, following the development of an idea to a final product.
This role will require practical laboratory work and a technical background that enables you to have a solid understanding of dialysis systems, design test procedures and test setups accordingly.
What you'll do
Lead and execute exploratory test activities as part of product ideation and improvement activities
Develop test setups using test and data acquisition equipment for measuring system performance
Develop and execute system verification plans and document the test results for inclusion in the product design history file
Support failure mode analysis and root cause investigations and contribute to developing technical solutions
Engage with different product stakeholders to understand customer needs and design specifications, and translate these into test specifications
Design test cases to include test methodology, test setups, materials, procedures, requirements and acceptance criteria
Lead the development of verification processes and scouting for verification tools
Perform all tasks in accordance with ISO quality and JSOX requirements, whilst always taking Nipro values into account
What you'll need
A Bachelor or Masters degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Control Systems or Mechanical Engineering
2 years of experience working in a similar role
A genuine interest in testing hardware, software and medical device systems
Able to perform practical, technical laboratory work as required for measuring product performance
Good problem solving skills
Experience with designing or specifying test benches, data acquisition, measurement test setups and instrumentation is highly beneficial
Experience with at least one engineering programming language (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, C)
Attention to detail in specifying and documenting tests, following good documentation practice
Able to work independently
Solid planning and time management skills
Fluent in English (more languages are a plus)
Good communication and collaboration skills in a multi-cultural setting
Flexiblity to ocassionally travel within Europe to support testing activities at external partners and notified bodies
What is a plus?
Experience with HIL / SIL automated test environments
Experience working with medical device system verification and/or development
Experience with Six Sigma tools (e.g. MSA, Gage R&R, ANOVA, DOE etc)
Experience working with CAN and Ethernet
Prior experience with dialysis machines
