What you will be doing
We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Director to join the Battery Materials team in Brussels, Belgium, reporting to the SVP Operations & Refining.
In this role you are responsible for managing the E2E flow from raw materials to finished goods in the most operationally efficient and cost-effective way with full accountability for working inventory levels.
You will establish a single source of truth for production and supply chain across the business unit and will be responsible for optimizing efficiency in supply management, inventory management, cost efficiency, risk management, strategic planning and customer satisfaction by collaborating with various stakeholders in the organization. Your primary focus will be two-fold: maximize profitability and minimize risks.
Responsibilities:
Managing the SCM organization by setting objectives, targets and actions aligned with the overall strategy
Establish working inventory targets and KPIs in view of optimizing working capital, a cost effective operational supply chain and security of supply
Establish material tracking based on customer requirements (i.e. ESG, CO2, consignment metals and IRA)
Provide clear strategic choices and trade-offs for supply chain scenarios and facilitate discussion with various internal partners
Provide input on relevant topics and facilitate decision making by establishing impactful working relationships with VP/SVP level within the organization
Leading global planning and site production in accordance with the sales forecast and provide regular feedback to upper management
Together with the planning organizations manage the month/year and longer-term planning of raw materials, precursors, intermediates and finished goods in alignment with respective sales forecasts, keeping in mind an economical and efficient supply chain, understanding impact of cross-country flows and tolling setup
Act as gate keeper for any deviation of site planning versus sales planning and customer allocations as agreed by management and providing timely updates on them, providing alternatives where necessary
Assure and check from business unit perspective the standardization of systems and tools as well as overall operational functioning and reporting of the SCM organizations in the site
Lead any decision to change intra site planning and/or inter site planning and communicate decision towards the sites in close discussion with SVP
Run 4M Project Change Management processes and act as owner/project manager for various supply chain related projects
Lead the global Sales Back Office team that supports the regional sales organizations
Who we are looking for
10+ years of experience in supply chain management especially with cross boarder flows and tolling systems
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business engineering, supply chain or related field
Experience in managing sales turnover over 1 billion €
Experience working with OEMs and expectations with QM (i.e 4M)
Experience in leading back office for sales and/or supply
Experience in E2E tracking of materials for ESG, Consignment Supply and Responsible Sourcing
Good knowledge of variety of systems & tools applied in supply chain management and good working knowledge of financial analyses
Experience in working in an intercultural and international environment
Ability to lead and motivate a team with a positive approach and regular feedback
Ability to handle multiple priorities with time constraints and deadlines
Good knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong interpersonal skills; promoter and facilitator of cross-department and upper-management cooperation with an ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
Strong capabilities to identify and resolve problems, identify and advocate for opportunities to change and create efficiencies
