For one of our customers in Brussel we are in search for a Senior Process Safety Engineer .

Vacature omschrijving

The Senior Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all process safety requirements are met during the design, construction, and operation of process facilities. This position will focus on identifying and assessing potential process safety hazards and risks, developing and implementing process safety policies and procedures, and providing technical support to the project teams.

Fully aware of the Project HES requirements, ensuring that all Company requirements, standards and guidelines are followed and implemented. To ensure that HES is considered as first priority and lead by example. To support the Project Managers and the Project Teams by reviewing and completing Project HES in design plans and deliverables. Ensure the outcome of HES studies and contractual agreements are incorporated in the Project HES in design plan. To actively participate in project risk assessment sessions with focus on design, constructability and construction activities. To prepare HES technical specifications and procedures To support other disciplines in terms of HES topics Coordinate with other members of the project team, including engineers, designers, and operations personnel, to ensure that process safety requirements are incorporated into the design and construction of process facilities

Je profiel

Education in an engineering discipline is required Being familiar with and capable to lead Process Safety studies as required (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.) A Process Engineering background is a requirement Min. 15 years of relevant experience in HES in design phases in large CAPEX projects Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, such as NFPA and API Experience with process safety management and risk assessment methodologies in a project setting Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Demonstrate a good understanding of International standards and practices applicable to all safety critical elements. Excellent understanding of Health, Environmental and Safety legislation along with its relevance in the chemical process industry/ construction industry. Willingness to travel in an international environment Excellent communicator with a respectful no nonsense approach Immediately available full-time until mid-October. Then half time for a longer period
