Division
The Risk Management Division is responsible for providing independent assessment, oversight and challenge on risk taking activities at Euroclear, and advises the Management Committee and the Board as to whether they are consistent with the institution’s risk appetite and strategy. We are a team of around 100 risk professionals, based across several locations, including Brussels, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Krakow. Our activities cover the entire Euroclear group.
The Risk Data & Intelligence (RDI) team provides the Division with data driven solutions to help Risk Managers (our internal clients) to perform their independent oversight. The current service offering includes data analytics tools, dashboards, reporting, and support for implementing data governance principles defined at group level.
Role & responsibilities
The key role of a Risk Data Reporting Analyst is to build a good understanding of the Risk function in Euroclear, the data landscape of the company and be responsible for turning this data into information and insights that will support Risk Management business decisions or help complying with regulatory requirements.
Activities
Gather internal or external data from different sources using SQL and maintain data systems.
Ensure data quality (accuracy, integrity by cleaning, pre-processing, executing and automating data quality checks.
Transform complex data and findings into text, tables, graphs, reports, dashboards and other visualisations for subject matter experts and higher management using Microsoft Power BI, Power Query and DAX.
Review produced reports, perform data quality or business validations to locate and correct code or data problems.
Collaborate with other teams in Risk Management to understand data content and solve data issues.
Interpret and analyse the data to enhance the decision making
Bring improvements to the process through automation and simplification.
Ensure compliance with data governance and data security requirements.
Build good understanding of Euroclear data and its link with Euroclear business to support Risk Management’s data analysis, decision making, reporting and risk assessments.
Work as a member of the Risk Data & Intelligence team whilst also working closely with other risk teams and business partners to integrate data insights into the Enterprise Risk Management framework and risk management practices.
Profile
Required qualifications :
You have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, finance, economics, statistics or related quantitative fields.
You are passionate about working with data. You have experience with business intelligence, have a good understanding of databases and adequate SQL skills.
You are able to understand data flows and build data models.
You have experience with data processing techniques and able to visualise the result and build reports with Microsoft PowerBI, Power Query and DAX.
You are hands-on and at ease in understanding and manipulating large and complex data sets coming from different internal and external sources.
You can detect opportunities for automation and can describe solutions to technical or non-technical audiences.
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical mind and attention to details.
You are able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
You have good communication skills and love to work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with subject matter experts.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
