Regulation & Market Analyst (Internship or Working student contract)

Elia Grid International has offices in Belgium, Germany, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA), Malaysia, and Thailand.

Your function

EGI wishes to reinforce its team working on Regulation and Markets to support international clients navigate the complex environment they operate in. To achieve this, we are looking for a motivated intern/working student to support the team bydeveloping product and delivering international regulatory and markets' related projects.

Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):

  • Literature and market research about national and international power systems and power markets;
  • Perform data and document analysis and summarize in conclusions;
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, pitches, and reports;
  • Support on business development activities such as tender preparation and proposal drafting;
  • Following on the latest evolutions in the power sector and its infrastructure, including upcoming opportunities, such as grid and market integration of renewables, hydrogen, PtX, and energy storage systems.
  • Your profile

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or the end of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, energy economics or law; 
  • Motivated quick-learning team player with high analytical and transversal abilities;
  • Good understanding of the power market and the energy transition;
  • Basic understanding of the market and regulatory framework of the power sector;
  • Interest in solving problems and taking on new challenges;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Knowledge of Arabic, German, and/or French is a strong asset.
