Division: Technology Management Services (TMS) Division (CIO Office)
The CIO office acts as a trusted advisor for IT and non-IT partners, by constantly following & facilitating internal needs, whilst incorporating external best practices and industry standards where relevant and applicable to Euroclear. It supports the organization in meeting our IT objectives aligned with our Corporate objectives. It develops effective relationships / processes with business units, divisions or groups of users, and uses influence for transversal alignment across the organisation. It ensures required services are identified, developed and sustained to the satisfaction of the business unit/division. It identifies gaps in processes and actively looks for efficient solutions, simplification and/or industrialization in collaboration with IT Divisions and non-IT partners to ensure value delivery.
In TMS, you will be part of the Portfolio Management team. The Portfolio Management team is there to facilitate a strong alignment of the IT investments with the Corporate, Strategic and Business Objectives. The portfolio management team is focusing on the following dimensions:
Ensure fit for purpose governance is in place
Ensure corporate strategy execution is supported by optimum mix of portfolio investments with full control of portfolio budget
Monitor the delivery plans not only for solution delivery but also for value & benefits realisation
Contribute to driving resource management process maturity by active participation in quarterly business reviews (QBR)
Responsibilities:
Project portfolio management is a discipline to accomplish strategic goals and maximise business value realisation through balancing project investments. It’s about doing the right work in the right way at individual investment portfolio and at the company level. To this end, both Euroclear and the portfolio management area, are going through the active transformation requiring you to adopt a proactive and change management attitude in this role.
As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will be in charge of a number of portfolios (based on business area driven Investment Themes) and you will contribute to further maturing our portfolio management processes.
You ensure the portfolio management process runs effectively and smoothly for one or more investment portfolios according to the cyclicality set within governance framework
You analyse and report against value, risk, resource capacity, progress, and performance of the portfolio and you translate that information into actionable insights for senior leadership
You actively participate in bi-annually portfolio planning with Enterprise Architecture and take full responsibility for quarterly corporate portfolio reporting
You actively educate and coach various stakeholders on the portfolio management process and hold people accountable to following them. You manage conflicts and get value out of difficult situations. You generate motivation and commitment across stakeholders
You report the outcome/decisions made by the portfolios to the relevant project stakeholders and ensure the continuity of these decisions over time
You bring forth recommendations to the portfolio on how to improve portfolio performance including portfolio governance and operational processes
You support portfolio decision making on when new projects can be initiated by creating a forward looking view of a pipeline in the context of multi-year planning and corporate budgeting
You actively support the change process primarily within own domain but you also fully engage with stakeholders across the organisation to seek alignment, collaboration and company-wide improvements
Requirements:
You have hands on portfolio management experience and you are practically aware of the adoption challenges that typically arise in implementation of portfolio processes
You have strong analytical skills and the ability to distil key messages. You are equally able to both step back in order to understand the context / big picture and to deep dive into certain points of attention/problems
You can build a network across the organisation to deliver across domains. You use your persuasion and influencing skills to get required support as and when needed
Autonomously deals with tensions and disputes, looking for consensus and benefit for the company
You find the right balance between enforcing rules and processes and demonstrating an ability to be flexible/service oriented
You are committed to continuous process improvement with a sense of purpose mindset
You work well in a team and have strong interpersonal skills helping move the portfolio team forward
You are fluent in English (speaking & writing)
