Your role 

Are you ready to contribute to the product development of compressed air dryers and chillers (water cooling) in an R&D environment? Do you want to work closely with other engineers, designers, prototype laboratory and other departments and suppliers? Then this role is for you! 

As a project engineer at Atlas Copco Wilrijk you are responsible for the development of new products, conforming to procedures and taking specifications into account such as product performance, product cost and project timing. Additionally, you maintain existing product designs and suggest ideas for improving their quality. As a project engineer compressed air dryers and chillers you ensure that the product meets all specifications and requirements looking at production performance, quality and cost and you will manage projects using project management techniques such as budget monitoring and timeline adherence. You select and calculate key machine components and materials and model/simulate the performance of the machine. After the design, you interact with suppliers to order prototype parts and follow up on the orders. You follow up the assembly of the prototypes and define test programs and support lab tests in the validation process during testing so the results can be taken back to the design. When we can move towards serial production, you provide final documents such as drawings, bill-of-material, technical documentation, ... 
During the entire process, you provide technical information to parties such as our lab, production or service people when solving internal and/or external customer issues. 

You will report to the Teamleader Engineering and will be able to work hybrid at our site in Wilrijk.
