Project Engineer

John Cockerill Energy Solutions is hiring a Project Engineer (m/f/x) to reinforce its Execution department. The position is based in Seraing (Belgium).
Your mission and responsibilities
The Project Engineer is responsible for the execution of the project he/she is in charge of under the responsibility of the Technical Project Manager with the following responsibilities:
o Technical contract analysis
o Application of the Design Process,
o Coordination of internal and external design teams,
o Defense of John Cockerill’s interests in an appropriate way in front of Customers and Suppliers,
o Preparation of RFQ (Request for Quotation) packages for the Purchase department
o Technical negotiations with Suppliers,
o Follow up of the engineering of the Suppliers,
o Key point of contact for mechanical erection and commissioning advisors on site,
o Technical risks assessments,
o Application of internal standards and good practices,
o Promotion of quality, efficiency and productivity to meet business objectives and goals,
o Prioritization of tasks,
o Promotion and implementation of continuous improvement.
Reporting
The Project Engineer is involved in the following processes:
o Project KOM,
o Project Design Review,
o Project Review meetings,
o Project progress meetings,
o Project technical coordination meetings.
Profil
The Project Engineer has a generalist profile. He/She must be available for temporary missions, sometimes on short notice, including international travel.
Your experiences and technical skills:
• Chimical, electromecanical, mechanical engineer or equivalent
• Generalist profile with 3 or 5 years' experience in project execution
• PMBOK-PMI principle is a plus
• Analysis of contractual requirements in regards with internal standards as well as application of internal technical choices
• Understanding of international codes and norms (mainly ASME, EN and ISO)
• Understanding of basic design of the products of the Business
• Understanding of P&ID’s and product processes
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Understanding of product and organization interfaces
• Mastery of English is essential, French is mandatory
