The Product Engineering team provides value add by:Defining, elaborating, approving and/or ensuring implementation of specifications and requirements, for the product assigned.Elaborating or allocating functional budgets and resources, and agreeing with stakeholder in business.Managing the product development project, coordinating roll-out of project plan and managing the achievement of the plan.Coordinating the related engineering disciplines (e.g., new platforms, IC layouts, mechanics, electronics).Integrating and managing idea generation, product design, simulation & testing, and other specific engineering activities.Cooperating with Manufacturing Product Integration (MPI) to continuously increase the yield and functioning of the product. A job at this level:Understands specifications, conduct assigned calculations, or verify functionalities for parts or details as assigned.Executes detailed design studies or accomplish functionality tests, for parts of products as assigned.Maintains functionality and calibration of equipment used, and supports responsible project manager in this aspect.Regularly reports about test results, and provides qualified input on how to proceed in next steps.Takes over accomplishment of dedicated workstreams,May provides specific guidance to supportive technical (lab-) staff, to generate specific test results.Performs independent judgement on subjects of relevance for the process assigned.
