IT Risk and Control Lead

Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)

We are seeking an IT Risk and Control Lead to join our GBS Office. This team provides extensive support to all Tribes within the GBS Division in areas such as:

  • Risk Management
  • Financial Oversight
  • Operational Transformation
  • Strategic Communication
  • Human Resources

    • In this role, you will collaborate with the IT Risk and Control Manager to improve our control framework.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting systematic testing of SDLC controls, including defining the scope, evaluating controls, managing the clearance process, and coordinating with affected stakeholders.
  • Monitoring updates to SDLC processes and integrating them into the control testing workflow.
  • Assisting the IT Risk and Control Manager with the management of changes to SDLC controls.
  • Engaging with the Continuous Assurance Team to ensure internal control effectiveness.
  • Generating consistent reports on control issues and remediation plans.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of issues and execution of action plans in collaboration with relevant partners.
  • Contributing to the collection and analysis of KPIs for the division.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and initiating enhancement actions.

    Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a control or risk function, ideally within an internal control unit or internal audit.
  • A robust mindset focused on risk and control.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in reporting and communication, with the skill to simplify complex concepts.
  • Independent work ethic with a proactive approach.
  • Quick adaptability to change and shifting priorities.
  • Organized work habits, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • A discerning perspective with the confidence to question established norms.
