HR Director Mid Europe Cluster

Job Description

The HR Director ME (Mid-Europe) Cluster, will provide HR support for the newly created ME Cluster organization (France, BeLux, Switzerland).  The HRD coaches the leader and his leadership team and provides expertise in the development  & support of the organizational talent and diversity strategy, talent management, workforce planning, organizational design, restructuring, change management, leader effectiveness and performance management and partners closely with COEs for compensation and rewards, global talent attraction and learning and talent management. This is a key role within the ME cluster and is part of the leadership team. In this role you will be reporting to the Executive Director HR EuCan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR and executive coaching support to leaders in the ME Cluster. Create and drive the talent and diversity strategy and initiatives for the assigned organization.
  • Support all talent management, organizational design and organizational alignment activities within client group(s).  Lead client restructuring activities when necessary.  Design and facilitate organizational change management activities when necessary.   
  • Coach leaders and members of leadership team(s) to successfully manage all people management processes (talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation planning, etc.).
  • Provide learning strategies and solutions to support and enable talent strategy.
  • Talent Acquisition support and POC for local in-market Talent Attraction activities on LT level
  • Provide leadership and project management to critical HR initiatives across the cluster as needed.
  • Collaborate across the HR network/HR operating model and with other stakeholders across the organization to resolve escalated issues and generate solutions to enable client’s business strategy.
  • Provide Employee Relations advice in alignment with the COE and consult to managers on items such as performance management/improvement, issue/conflict resolution, policy, procedure, law and standards education
  • Provide Labor Relations advice and consult to managers and work councils including contract interpretation expertise to management, assisting management with investigating, answering and resolving grievances and providing labor relations support in preparation for and during contract negotiations. 
  • Provide consult on Compensation & Benefit strategy & execution in line with the COE, which may include pension program support, benefit enrollment, local vendor mngt
  • Closely align and partner with the HRD in Switzerland and Belgium
  • Manager of 1 HRBP

Candidate requirements:

  • Significant experience working as a HR Business Partner supporting Managers and/or Leadership Team, ideally across multiple countries.
  • Knowledge of the French labor environment, building trusted relationships to work councils and unions
  • Experience working in a global matrix or multi-national organization.
  • French and English fluently
  • Exceptional people skills, able to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with people in multiple countries.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrable HR knowledge and expertise.
  • Empathetic and inclusive with a desire to learn and grow with a "can do" mentality.
