Functional Analyst HR Tech

Telenet is Flanders’ leading Telco provider with a portfolio of 3 million customers in internet, telephone, mobile and digital television. We are presently looking for a Functional Analyst in the field of HR Tech. This person will join the People Analytics, Tools, and Projects team (PATP), within the People and Workplace Tribe (department). 

Working in the People and Workplace Tribe

Telenet operates on an agile framework. In each team, team members collaboratively work as a single entity for mutual support. We also adopted a hybrid way of working (active based) to take care of your work-life balance. 

This team focuses on the optimization of our HR tech landscape, as well as on the leveraging of the data coming from these technologies in order to improve employee experience. 

In collaboration with our partners, we deliver solutions to get our employees up and running as smooth as possible. We are looking for someone with a broad knowledge of the HR technology trends, who will help us develop a flexible and adaptive HR technology stack that can seamlessly integrate with emerging technologies. 

Your tasks as a Functional Analyst 

You design, evaluate, improve and coordinate the implementation of the solutions for HR technologies on current or new systems, architectures, applications and system requirements in order to foster innovation and provide users best-in-class solutions (tools, software, …).

Your responsibilities include internal development, vendor management, HR tech landscape optimization, integration and deployment of new solutions, …

  • You deliver conceptual application/platform development and/ or configuration and continuously strive towards continuous improvement to empower end-users to become self-reliant. If applicable, you evaluate, analyze and follows-up on the business processes and/or related improvement initiatives, this in alignment with all the stakeholders.
  • You elaborate or coordinate (vendor) End-to-End solutions (from concept through testing until delivery) to provide the data, feasibility of capabilities/ functionalities in an efficient and effective way taking into consideration the existing architectures, tools and standards within the department/squad or chapter. If applicable, you (co-)define an action plan and guarantee that the actions are executed.
  • You support, and if applicable also execute, successful (post)implementation, i.e. align with all stakeholders; guide colleagues and/or transfer knowledge; solve the most complex application problems, bugs or issues from implementation onwards and/or escalate them to the external vendors (if not possible internally). 
  • You create and maintain a framework with clear guidelines, best practices and training/material that enable Telenet to use different tools in an intuitive, efficient and consistent way. If applicable, you provide training yourself.
  • You co-create the domain architecture and/or (application) roadmap and pro-actively contributes to broader cross-domain application development.

  • Our ideal HR Functional Analyst :

  • Has minimum 5 years relevant experience in an HR tech environment
  • Has in-depth knowledge of HR technology (such as but not limited to: Oracle HCM, Workday, CMS and LMS applications, etc.) and additional basic knowledge of the other applications in different domains.
  • Has experience in making technical, impact (financial, resources, etc.) and/or functional analyses and developing/configuring (new) cost-effective solutions. 
  • Brings external best practices to Telenet in order to stimulate innovation. 
  • Has a structured way of working, a keen eye for detail without losing the bigger picture 
  • Has an excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch is highly appreciated.
