The Event Director will work within the German Experience Studio and be part of a 15-person remote team.

In this role he will act as main interface between the client and the project team. Besides leading a cross-functional event team (content, technical, logistics) to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration among stakeholders the selected candidate will also drive the ideation and creation of concepts and content development.

Therefore, the understanding of different event components (content, creative, production, logistics) will be crucial. Working alongside a logistics director, you’ll be the client’s primary point of contact, gathering their needs to identify and brief various profiles (copywriters, graphic designers, video editors, etc.).

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • put the right project teams in place – with the help of the operations manager – in order to define and implement the right profiles and then coordinate the project team throughout the event. 
  • Understanding the strategic objectives of our clients, you will serve as the key contact for stakeholders and will translate strategic goals into event recommendations.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills and providing guidance and solutions to clients on various challenges and any issues arising.
  • Working alongside a dedicated team, you will manage the response to client requests and oversee event production. You’ll collaborate with creative, production, and logistics teams. Projects may involve both a German team and a cross-functional team based in different European countries.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, including managing timelines and budgets.

    • What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the events industry and 3 years in a similar role.
  • Possess strong project leadership qualities, great attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Practice effective stress management with the ability to prioritize.
  • Have a proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. Be assertive with good decision-making skills.
  • Be curious with a continuous-learning mindset to stay informed about industry trends, technology solutions, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate empathy and the ability to put yourself in the client’s shoes.
  • Be well connected in the events industry, and within your own network of partners and freelancers.
  • Be comfortable navigating a large international organization.
  • Fluent English is essential (working proficiency) and German on native language level. Additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Experience in an event or marketing/communication agency is a plus.
