Environmental Engineer
Our Environmental Engineering Team is operating from the HQ in Zwijndrecht as a central working place. However, working in direct support for different tenders and projects worldwide, dedicated international long-term site assignments (both on ALO and ALD works) form a significant part of your assignment - to explore and deploy environmental engineering solutions throughout DEME’s business line.
As an active member of the limited Environmental Engineering Team of the DEME-group, you hold a unique and frontrunning position within our organisation. Both delivering supporting “excellence” services for all Activity Lines within our international marine contractor’s organisation (DEME-group) and exploring innovative environmental business opportunities form the core of your activities. In order to pick up the above challenges, following qualifications are highly recommended:
Combine environmental background and understanding on ecological issues associated with marine works with coordinating environmental management
Pragmatic and efficient team-player to bring and tackle environmental aspects on the operational project table.
Engage an inspiring awareness and communicate assertively on the importance of dedicated environmental management and recognition of Natural Capital as a crucial element towards more sustainable marine works business both within the internal DEME-organisation and towards external parties (clients, authorities, stakeholders...)
Able to transfer innovative, upfront nature inspired engineering ideas up to operational applications and/or competitive business opportunities.
Be prepared to travel abroad and stay on international sites for long term assignments.
A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience – on content or practice - is recommended.
Your Education/Training: MSc (Marine) Biology - MSc BioScience Engineering (Environmental Sciences &Technology - Water Resources - Ecosystems - Sustainability - …) - MSc Civil Engineering Technology - or equivalent by experience.
