Back-End Developer -- PHP / C

### About the Role

We are looking for an experienced **Back-End Developer** to design, develop, maintain and improve critical PHP and C applications within a complex IT environment. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team working on the modernization of legacy systems and migration towards a modern architecture.

### Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop and test applications based on functional and technical requirements.
* Develop and maintain **PHP and C applications** in a high-availability environment.
* Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Maintain and improve existing applications and provide technical support.
* Develop and integrate **REST and SOAP web services**.
* Contribute to technical architecture and propose improvements to existing solutions.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
* Follow technological developments and provide technical recommendations.

### Requirements

* Expert knowledge of **PHP 5.6, 7 and 8, JavaScript and C**.
* Strong experience with **C server-side programming**, including asynchronous programming and threads.
* Knowledge of **REST/SOAP web services**.
* Experience with **AngularJS, Ajax, jQuery, CodeIgniter and Git/DevOps**.
* Knowledge of **Linux/Red Hat** environments.
* Good understanding of **TCP/IP networking protocols**.
* Knowledge of C#, Xamarin and related technologies is an advantage.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills.
* Dutch, French and English proficiency.

* **Workload:** Full-time (40 hours/week)
* **Location:** Brussels
* **Work model:** Hybrid -- minimum 2 days per week onsite
