Description

Your Team's primary mission is to support management and the non-life business unit in decision-making and strategic planning. This involves:

  • Analyzing, validating, drawing conclusions, summarizing, presenting, and making recommendations based on technical and qualitative information;
  • Actively contributing to developing and enhancing tools, frameworks, and methods for financial and strategic analysis within your domain.
  • Additionally, you’ll lead, develop, and execute a dynamic strategic planning process, initiating necessary actions and providing recommendations to achieve established objectives. Communicating the strategic plan to the management is also part of your responsibilities;
  • You’ll collaborate on preparing business review meetings, centralizing technical and business themes impacting your unit, and ensuring they are analyzed and discussed before formulating concrete action plans;
  • Your involvement extends to participating in projects aimed at achieving technical profitability goals, controlling overall costs, and continuously improving service quality;
  • You’ll conduct complex financial analyses based on current or anticipated data, validating completeness and correctness to ensure the relevance of results;
  • You’ll oversee the budget and financial control process, aligning internal and external financial data and providing recommendations.

Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in finance, management, economics, or a quantitative field (actuarial science, mathematics).
  • At least five years of professional experience in the non-life insurance sector.
  • A rational and analytical mindset, coupled with a strong grasp of numbers and strategic thinking.
  • Effective communication skills, allowing you to convey complex technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Persistence, adaptability to urgent tasks, and alignment with management needs.

Strong collaboration skills and active listening abilities.
Discretion and respect for the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Proficiency in either Dutch or French and excellent English skills. Knowledge of the second national language is advantageous.
