As a **Vision Systems Engineer,** you will work on the development and improvement of advanced optical inspection systems. You combine technical expertise with a practical, problem-solving mindset. You will work closely with R\&D teams, software engineers and international stakeholders.

About the role

You will be involved in the **development of optical inspection modules** , conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with algorithm experts to improve image processing and defect detection. In addition, you will play a crucial role in requirements engineering and **software validation**, as well as in multidisciplinary collaboration to create integrated solutions. You will validate prototypes and concepts in the lab, and occasionally on-site at customer locations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

* Developing and improving metrology and inspection modules.

* Conducting evaluations on customer samples and aligning expectations.

* Collaborating with algorithm experts on image processing and defect detection.

* Drafting detailed requirements for product and software improvements.

* Preparing and executing internal test plans and contributing to milestone reviews.

* Coordinating with optics, algorithms, camera, motion and external partners to deliver integrated solutions.

* Validating prototypes and concepts in the lab and on-site at customer locations worldwide.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a **hands-on System Engineer** with in-depth technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.

* PhD or Master's degree in Engineering.

* Knowledge of **systems engineering** and **optics.**

* Understanding of **software development (Matlab, C, C )**.

* Excellent technical and communication skills.

* Min 5 years experience in a similar position.

* Fluent in English; **Dutch is an advantage.**
