Transurb Technirail is looking for a Project Manager for its offices located in Brussels, Belgium. The Position
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for one or more projects. He/she is accountable for the project objectives in its technical, financial and planning components. He/she also participates in the drafting of the technical aspects of the offers that Transurb submits to its clients and helps the more junior project managers to grow in their capabilities and tasks.
The projects carried out by Transurb are international (Europe and outside Europe) and sometimes require to travel abroad. They are all related to railway techniques and are generally linked to signalling and ERTMS/ETCS in particular.
Key roles and responsibilities
Acquire knowledge of the project structure in order to understand the interdependence and phasing of its parts
Understand the client's needs and the project's technical documentation in order to develop appropriate technical solutions
Write and revise various technical documents (technical tender, specifications, analysis report...), depending on the project phase, based on the input data received, including the available technical documentation and internal/external experts
Ensure technical compliance with the customer's needs while respecting the applicable regulations
Take into account the additional requirements and remarks raised by the customer during the project
Organize and manage project meetings (with or without the customer) in order to clarify any ambiguities in the technical documentation, present the results obtained, validate the proposed technological solutions and gather the customer's opinion. The goal is to ensure customer satisfaction
Respect the deadlines and budget of the deliverables agreed in the project
Identify any anomalies encountered and propose counter-solutions.
Collaborate with the project team involved in the project and ensure the overall consistency of the project
Contribute to the documentation and transfer of the finalized project to the client
Provide technical support to the junior Project Managers assigned to you and coach them in better following up on their projects.
Organise regular portfolio meetings to go through all of the projects of the junior Project Managers you support, in collaboration with the director of operations.
Respect confidentiality between different projects.
Skills, knowledge and experience
Be flexible and versatile so that you can get your hands dirty on projects - avoid "silo" thinking. The Project Manager does not only take care of the budget and the planning, he also manages the technical aspects.

Be able to work in a team
Ability to synthesize and write
Have a sense of teamwork and responsibility
Knowledge of project management and quality processes applicable in the railway industry.
Ability to allocate and execute the allocated project tasks within the given timeframe, ensuring compliance with the client
Ability to organize work, determine priorities, manage critical points in your projects
Transfer your expertise and knowledge to the junior Project Managers assigned to you. Be a model and let them grow to one day be as good or even better then you.
Profile
Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
At least 10 years of experience in project management of complex industrial projects.
Operational proficiency (written and spoken) of French and English. Operational proficiency of Dutch, Spanish, Arab or German is a plus.
You want to contribute to the success of railway as a sustainable alternative to other transport means.
