Senior Information Systems Project Manager

A Technical Program Manager is responsible for driving clarity on key initiatives related to one or more of our market-leading software platforms. S/he is responsible for managing planning, risk and issue tracking, status and reporting, communication and coordination across technology teams, and project financial tracking for dedicated initiatives. This role is under the Strategic Technical Operations team, and a close partner of individuals working within Tech Innovation and Strategic Operations, the Office of the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), and the Enterprise Transformation team. 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead the planning, execution, and rollout of tooling integrations and implementations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, and collaboration across the organization. 

  • Define program objectives, milestones, and success criteria, and ensure alignment with business goals

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and drive alignment on tooling initiatives. Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams to ensure successful integration across collaboration tools (eg. Planview, Jira, Aha)

  • Establish governance processes and frameworks to ensure effective oversight and management. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and Maintain iterative project plans for scope of projects

  • Collaborate within the Strategic Technology Operations team to drive continuous improvement in reporting optimize adoption and enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Facilitate maximum visibility and transparency for the team and stakeholders including reports and presentations of status, risks, and opportunities

  • Track risks and issues as required for resolution and / or escalation

  • Participate in status and reporting initiatives, both across teams and to relevant stakeholders

  • Manage relationships with vendors, including performance monitoring and issue resolution

  • Experience you’ll bring

  • BS/BA Degree in technical/information science or a related field

  • 7+ Years relevant experience project management experience overseeing technology projects for the level 4 role

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience project management experience overseeing technology projects for the level 3 role.

  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one Agile Methodology - including strong working knowledge of values, roles, rituals, and artifacts, as well as planning execution

  • Knowledge of project and resource management tools; experience with Agile Lifecycle Management software a plus

  • Strong program management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working comfortably and confidently with various levels in an organization, and technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working with relevant tools and platforms, such as Jira, Confluence, and PPM tools such as Planview

  • Proven track record of delivering successful results

  • The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
