The role

About the job

You'll be the DevOps engineer supporting our product engineering team.

You will closely work with the CTO, Security, and Product Engineering team to design, implement and maintain how code goes from developers to our users. You will be able to dig into various parts of platform engineering as well as give your voice in architecture-related decisions. This is a role that comes with a lot of responsibility and freedom.

• AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, ...) for our infrastructure
• Terraform CDK/OpenTofu
• PostgreSQL
• Docker
• Cloudflare (ingestion endpoint/WAF, Access, Tunnel, Pages & Workers)
• GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

• Building a fault-tolerant, secure, geographically distributed platform: support for multiple regions, providing replication, sharding, auto-balancing and failover
• Develop and maintain code for automated infrastructure management (DevOps, Infrastructure as Code) with the use of CDKTF
  
• Working collaboratively with the Product Engineering team to increase our resilience through insightful systems and application metrics
• Improving our CI/CD pipeline
• Building and maintaining infrastructure for customers spread across the world
• Discovering and resolving issues through policy-as-code tooling (e.g Checkov)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Excellent written and spoken English
• You can independently solve problems of any complexity
  
• Good understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS)
• You are well-versed in modern web application principles and CI/CD processes.
• Good knowledge of how to set up and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Experience with load balancing, handling failure, designing resilience systems,
  troubleshooting
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting
• Infrastructure provisioning (such as Terraform, Cloudformation)

Nice to have

• Serverless Framework experience
• node.js/TypeScript experience
• Knowledge and experience in web application security
• Experience in pen testing
