Quality Engineer I

In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit!

You are the internal focal point for all quality related matters affecting the program in which you participate. You are part of the program teams and you work in close collaboration with your team. You also work in close collaboration with the supplier, the system quality team as well as with operations.

Responsibilities

  • You monitor the quality performance of the programs in which you participate.
  • You ensure the interface with the customer for all quality related topics : progress, inquiries, complaints, etc...
  • You manage internal, external and supplier non-conformities relating to your program : treatment of non-conforming products, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
  • You conduct risk analysis on products and manufacturing processes.
  • You organize and ensure customer audits and product audits.
  • You elaborate and/or manage quality documentation specific to the program
  • You contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • You Collaborate and assume responsibilities at your level with regard to the EN quality standard and the ISO environmental standard
  • Your profile

  • You obtained a Master degree in industrial engineering, or mechanics, or materials science or chemistry or equivalent.
  • You have between 5 to 10 years of professional working experience in a simular industry.
  • A relevant experience in Quality is a big asset for this position.
  • You have practical knowledge with problem solving methodologies : 8D, 5whys, etc..
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, components and assembly of structural parts is a plus.
  • You have a good knowledge of quality standards (AS/EN, ISO, IATF ,...).
  • You have the maturity to work on the projects allocated to you.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English and French or Dutch.
  • You are a team player.
  • You are solution minded and you like challenges.
  • You are flexible to work on different programs.
  • You can work under pressure and maintain a high result driven working environment.
  • You are able to be assertive and convincing when needed.
  • You have excellent analytical skills.
  • You have a good knowledge of MS Office and ERP (SAP, S4HANA).
