QHSE Engineer – Technical Support
Embark on an exciting journey with our Technical Safety department to join our team as a QHSE Engineer with focusing on working with our fleets' major repairs. DEME's objective is to provide a healthy work environment and to promote sound work practices involved in our business.
As a QHSE engineer you will have a variety of tasks such as assisting our Fleet Department in making our Vessels and their Major Repairs as safe as possible.
You’ll be working closely with Technical Engineers within DEME and will be responsible for risk analyses of workorders.
You’ll be responsible for updating and maintaining our management systems, monitoring the risk management process of Vessel Major Repairs, Mobilizations and Modifications.
You may be requested to take part in incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.
You’ll be collaborating with employees of all nationalities and disciplines.
You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or a maritime field.
You have a technical background, either from experience or field of study.
Experience in the field of QHSE and/or safety management systems is a plus but not required.
You have an analytical mind and are able to work accurately.
You are service minded and a good communicator.
You are fluent, both written and verbal, in English. Dutch is a big plus.
You are prepared to travel for short assignment.
You are able to work in systematic and organized manner within a team.
You are willing to work in our HQ in Zwijndrecht, Belgium.
