QHSE Engineer – Technical Support

Embark on an exciting journey with our Technical Safety department to join our team as a QHSE Engineer with focusing on working with our fleets' major repairs. DEME's objective is to provide a healthy work environment and to promote sound work practices involved in our business.

  • As a QHSE engineer you will have a variety of tasks such as assisting our Fleet Department in making our Vessels and their Major Repairs as safe as possible.

  • You’ll be working closely with Technical Engineers within DEME and will be responsible for risk analyses of workorders.

  • You’ll be responsible for updating and maintaining our management systems, monitoring the risk management process of Vessel Major Repairs, Mobilizations and Modifications.

  • You may be requested to take part in incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.

  • You’ll be collaborating with employees of all nationalities and disciplines.
     

  • You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or a maritime field.

  • You have a technical background, either from experience or field of study.

  • Experience in the field of QHSE and/or safety management systems is a plus but not required.

  • You have an analytical mind and are able to work accurately.

  • You are service minded and a good communicator.

  • You are fluent, both written and verbal, in English. Dutch is a big plus.

  • You are prepared to travel for short assignment.

  • You are able to work in systematic and organized manner within a team.

  •  You are willing to work in our HQ in Zwijndrecht, Belgium.
