PRICING ANALYST AQUA & ADDITIVES

Summary:

The Pricing analyst will be responsible for executing the pricing strategy for the global Aqua business of ADM Animal Nutrition, effectively managing product pricing, deal execution, pricing discipline and process development. The position should champion and support pricing with sales organization and embed a pricing and margin expansion mindset in organization. This position will
work closely with sales teams, procurement, customer service, operations, product development, supply chain and accounting teams in Europe and North America.

This position will report to the VP Pricing Animal Nutrition.

Essential Job Functions:
 

  • Perform price execution activities and set discipline by executing and enforcing standard processes for robust repeatable deal support and evaluation
  • Responsible for full-filling pricing requests from Sales teams and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with a global set of stakeholders on market conditions and material changes to foresee periodic price evolution
  • Follow up of offers proposed to customers (especially focused on rejected offers to detect root causes).
  • Prepare and analyze pricing performance reporting, identifying pricing opportunities, and analyzing customer performance.
  • Support a continuous margin improvement mindset by communicating pricing decisions in alignment with the pricing strategy and the objectives of related pricing levers.
  • Support adoption of pricing tools and performance reporting by other stakeholders.
  • Promote and lead plans/actions to ensure profitable products and customers portfolios
  • Carry out business intelligence activities to know what competitors are doing in terms of pricing and commercial activities in order to define competitive pricing and discount strategies.
  • Develop continuous improvement projects that enable higher agility and accuracy in the pricing information
  • Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field (i.e. management, finance, etc)
  • 3-5 years professional work experience in BtB, sales or finance
  • Solid data analytics skills
  • Analyzing historical performance of businesses and customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Business mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a team-based work.
  • Be proactive, team player and get commitment through empathy and negotiation from other stakeholders.
  • Change management activities: ability to gain buy-in/ commitment from internal stakeholders
  • Proficient with applications within a Windows based operating environment: Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI and ERP system is a plus. Advanced degree in analytics, data modelling, statistics is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
