Your job as a C++ developer

Join our team as a C++ developer to be at the forefront of our product’s evolution and contribute across the entire software lifecycle. Stay sharp with the latest development tools and frameworks. Your main tasks and activities will include

• Enhance, maintain and refactor legacy system in C++
• Contribute during all phases of product lifecycle, from ideation and development to maintenance.
• Work with business counterparts to provide technical solutions to customers' needs
• Troubleshoot, debug, develop and deploy updates and fixes

Beyond your main tasks and responsibilities, this role offers exciting growth opportunities. As a valued member of our self-organizing squad, your responsibilities will soon extend beyond the core tasks. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of additional duties aligned with your interests, skills, and aspirations. But fear not - this challenge won’t be faced alone. You’ll be part of an international, agile squad, comprising 15 talented engineers. Our diverse team includes developers, functional analysts, testers, a scrum master, and a product owner, all working together to drive excellence.

Your profile and skills

We expect proven experience with:

• At least 5 years of experience in C++ development in complex software environments
• Knowledge of patterns, data structures, templates and multithreaded programming
• Knowledge of libraries and frameworks such as STL, Boost, MFC
• Experience with TDD
• Experience with document and relational databases like Btrieve, MS SQL
• Understanding of tracking and versioning systems such as GIT and SVN
• Experience with profiling in Windows environments using tools such as Vtune
• You hold a degree in IT or have proven skills worthy to the degree

And you'll get bonus points if you have experience with:

• Continuous integration, app build and delivery systems, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, …
• Development using Visual Studio
• Scripting languages like Python
• Payroll software or affinity with the payroll domain
