Maintenance Technician

In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit!

Mission :

As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for performing various types of welding, preventive maintenance, as well as new works (installations, improvements, modifications). Your tasks will also involve diagnosing machine failures and handling high-voltage cabinets. Additionally, you will perform various administrative duties such as management (administrative, technical, ...), requesting quotes, and placing orders with manufacturers.

Responsibilities :

1. Perform maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting interventions in various technical fields (electricity, mechanics...) following instructions, plans, and diagrams.

2. Repair or replace defective parts to refurbish installations or equipment.

3. Participate in new project works (installations, improvements, modifications) and contribute to management (administrative, technical...).

4. Communicate with manufacturers to obtain quotes or seek assistance during machine interventions.

Profile :

Required Skills :

1. Organize interventions systematically.

2. Follow logical and methodical processes.

3. Strictly adhere to safety standards.

4. Regularly communicate with users, manufacturers, or intervention teams.

5. Adapt to various situations, equipment, and technologies.

6. Collaborate effectively and assume responsibilities in accordance with quality standards EN and environmental standard ISO .

Basic Technical Competences :

1. Intervene in various technical fields (electricity, electronics, mechanics...).

2. Repair or replace installations, equipment, networks, or buildings.

3. Perform routine maintenance according to instructions, plans, and maintenance schedules.

4. Report on interventions, orally or in writing.

Associated Skills (cross-functional) :

1. Use of computer software (Internet, Word, Excel, Access, SAP…).

2. Proficiency in national languages (French/Dutch) and basic knowledge of technical German and English.

3. Ability to operate lifting equipment and work in high-voltage cabins (BA4).

Required Experience :

- Typically accessible with a short ETS-level training in electromechanics.

- Indirect access may be possible through internal promotion, with ETSS-level training complemented by confirmed experience.

Travel :

This position may require travel and variable hours, including weekends.

Languages :

- Proficiency in both national languages (French/Dutch).

- Basic understanding of technical German and English is advantageous.

Internal Candidate Selection Criteria :

- Minimum of two years of seniority at SABCA.

AND

- Minimum of one year of seniority in the current role.
