Purpose

For our Antwerp office we are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer!

Responsibilities

As a Lead Piping Engineer you are responsible for:

You will provide piping engineering services to Worley, and its Customers.

  • Deliver piping engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform piping engineering services such as :
  • oidentify and report changes to project scope;

    oassist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules;

    oprovide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders;

    ocontribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;

    oassist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.

  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in piping engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with the piping engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
  • We expect you to bring:

  • Job specific knowledge: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Industry specific experience:
  • oSound technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.

    oA working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of piping engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.

    oA working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.

    oCompetent use of piping engineering specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.

    oEngineering experience in the same or similar industry.

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline (Engineering preferred)
  • People skills: Motivational and collaborative communication skills
  • Job specific skills: Undertaking Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
  • Communication skills: Possess oral and written English language skills required to function effectively within a project team, and to communicate with Project Management, Contractors and Subcontractors
