As Lab Technician Electrochemistry and Corrosion you will play an important role in supporting a broad spectrum of products, processes, projects, and business units by utilizing advanced techniques and instrumentation available in our well equipped electrochemistry and corrosion lab. You will contribute to new measurement methods, analyse and report generated data and share built-up expertise.
About the role
You agree with internal customer on the required electrochemical tests which will be performed on various kinds of samples (steel wires, metal fibers, textiles, steel cables, belts, polymers ... all with different compositions and/or coatings, ...)
You execute different electrochemistry and corrosion related tests (e.g. cyclic voltammetry, salt spray, experimental setups, ...) with possibility to also grow in other techniques present in the labs.
You develop measurement methods to support the internal or external customer in the best way possible
You write concluding report in cooperation with the lab team, core technology experts, BU projects and innovation teams.
You build-up expertise on both the test equipment as well as Bekaert products.
You ensure correct data management working for safeguarding experimental data, technical reports, documentation, presentations, …
About You
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, electrochemistry, metallic coatings (or a related field).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Teamplayer
Broad interest in products, production processes and measurement techniques
Eagerness to learn.
Innovative mind
Fluent in Dutch and/or English
