SP Schoolhouse
Position Summary
In this role, you will perform analytical procedures on high purity quartz, evaluate results before reporting data in laboratory information management system, and maintain instrumentation.
Shifts
This position operates in swing shifts that rotate M-F between 7:00 AM -7:00 PM and 7:00 PM -7:00 AM with occasional weekends required.
Responsibilities
Conduct work safely, perform last minute risk assessments and maintain good housekeeping.
Prepare samples through digestion and conduct analyses using laboratory equipment including inductively coupled plasma spectrometers, laser particle sizers, and other instrumentation.
Use laboratory information management system (LIMS) and Instrumental software to evaluate data for precision and accuracy prior to reporting.
Maintain and restock consumables and supplies to sustain operation.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, perform required calibrations, and complete minor repair of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Meet laboratory sample turnaround goals and other productivity objectives
Qualifications
Experience in a laboratory setting is required.
A working knowledge of instrumentation, lab practices, and handling of chemicals is required.
A science degree is preferred.
The ability to work with computers, software, and lab equipment.
