Let’s talk about the Role:

The Reinsurance Technician will provide assurance to the senior management and board of MS Amlin as to their compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. Your primary role is to work closely with the team and the wider business departments to maintain compliance with MS Amlin policies, local procedures and applicable legal and regulatory requirements

On a day to day basis, you will :

  • Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims. Also covering excess of loss and pro rata business or alternatively binder and facultative risks types.
  • Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
  • Monitoring the tight timelines associated with established procedures requires a structured working method and analytical skills.
  • Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets. Understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices
  • Who are we looking for :

  • The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of work experience in a financial administrative role at an (re)insurer or intermediary.
  • Because of your regular contact with reinsurance brokers regarding, for example, financial transactions. You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and because of the international nature of the work, your command of the English language in both word and writing is self-evident. Dutch is a strong asset.
  • You are able to work independently according to the established procedures and corresponding timelines. You monitor these timelines and ensure that the right measures are taken to achieve them and inform stakeholders when this fails. 
  • To perform the role of (junior) RI Ops officer, it is important to have demonstrable knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles. Knowledge of reinsurance is an advantage. Striving to increase efficiency is an already seen second nature.
  • You are open to work a maximum of 32 hours per week.
