Group Communications Manager, Supply Chain

Job Description

The Group Communications Manager, Supply Chain has responsibility for leading global communications for the Supply Chain function of Brambles Group, ensuring that we effectively engage with remote, Service Centre based colleagues through high quality, targeted internal communications.

The role can bebased in any Brambles location globallybut will require overlap with UK, South Africa and east-coast US working hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review/audit Global Supply Chain communications to identify and address opportunities to improve the reach and engagement with communications for Service Centre based colleagues
  • Bring insight on best practice communications from other companies and industries also connecting with remote or field based employees
  • Provide communications counsel, business partnership and support to the Global Supply Chain leadership team and other key stakeholders
  • In addition to communications within the Global Supply Chain, work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and leadership team to agree what should be communicated from the function to the rest of the organisation
  • Lead the planning, writing, editing and executing of communications for and from the Global Supply Chain
  • Define, track and analyse key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications to continually improve.
  • Experience and skills required:

  • Background/ experience in related field (e.g. Communications, Marketing etc)
  • Previous experience in communicating with remote audiences (service centers, warehouses, retail) in a global business, with cross-cultural understanding
  • Creativity and "appetite" for driving change, paired with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ideally experience in using a range of communications channels (e.g. Populo, Sharepoint, Viva Engage etc.) and tools (e.g. Canva, video editing software)
  • Ability to collect and analyse data to help drive improvements in communication approaches and delivery
  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing abilities
  • Previous line management responsibility are beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Some understanding of the logistics industry desirable
